Facts and Information about Living in Lafayette Oaks

There are several events that take place in Lafayette Oaks during the year.
  • At Halloween we hold a Trunk or Treat at the community park.  Residents decorate their car trunks, and the children come in costume to go from car to car collecting candy.
  • There is usually a Spring and Fall Garage Sale, where many of the homes hold a sale of their unwanted items.  The gates are opened and maps are handed out to potential customers who come to shop.
  • At Easter there is an Easter Egg Hunt at the community park for the younger children.  The Social Committee hides eggs and awards prizes for various categories.

Lafayette Oaks is a gated community with private streets, a swimming pool, tennis court, playground, and a Community Garden.  The HOA dues are used to maintain these facilities, and make improvements to drainage, trim trees, repair gates, and repave the streets.

Lafayette Oaks has a Neighborhood Watch Program as part of the Health and Safety Committee, whose Chairman is Melanie Jernigan.
