Annual Meeting - December 13 at 7 p.m.
The annual meeting of the Lafayette Oaks Homes Association will be held Deember 13 at 7 p.m. at Capital City Christian Church, 6115 Mahan Drive. All residents are encouraged to join us. Enjoy snacks from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Meet the LOHA Board and hear brief annual reports beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Election Results: Incumbents Re-Elected
The elections for the 2012 LOHA Board are completed, and all the votes have been counted. The following people were reelected to the Board: Debbie Floyd, Les Lawhon, Ralph Nordin, Rob Swearingen, and Lucy Turner.Vote turnout was a little higher than usual this year. We have 324 eligible voters. 142 votes were returned (43.8%). In the previous few years, the vote has been about 30-33%.We were fortunate to have nine people to choose from this year. Although only 5 could be elected, it was great to see the interest from new people. And all the candidates are encouraged to continue to participate on committees and in other volunteer roles at LOHA.The vote count was as ...

Candidates Respond to Your Questions!
Less than a week left to get your vote in for the 2012 LOHA Board! Ballots are due by 7 pm on December 8th.To help you make a decision, Donda Combs has collected questions about current neighborhood issues, and asked the candidates to respond. The candidates were asked for their positions about 1) what new financial "best practices" should implemented; 2) whether to post minutes and financial reports on LO32308; 3) whether they support the community room project; 4) how to deal with holding pond issues; and 5) whether they believe a dues increase will be needed, or if expenses can be reduced enough to avoid a dues increase. LOHA Board MeetingsThe LOHA Board of Directors meets at the LOHA Board Room at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. (No meeting in August). All Board meetings are open to the public. Residents are invited to attend.
